FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where & when are your services?

Our plan is to begin holding Sunday morning worship services sometime in December.  Click here to sign up to receive details regarding time and location once they are finalized.

What denomination are you?

Edgewood is part of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA).  Click here to learn more about the Evangelical Free denomination.

What is a multi-site church?

Multi-site churches are a relatively new and ever-changing, organic model for today’s church that works to maximize resources and reach more people and communities more rapidly than traditional church planting.

Preaching

Some multi-site churches have a centralized location where all of live preaching takes place with satellite churches (campuses) utilizing live broadcasting technology to present the sermon at their given location.  In this case, all campuses are hearing the exact same message together.  Other multi-site churches have campus pastors who preach live at each location on the same passage or topic which creates unity across all campuses, but each campus is hearing a slightly different message.

Worship

Most multi-site churches have a live worship team who leads the congregation in worship through music, scripture readings, and prayer.

Our Approach

Edgewood combines these approaches.  Our Senior Pastor (Roger) rotates between campuses, preaching live at each campus about once per month.  Each location also has a Campus Pastor who preaches live at their campus once or twice per month.  For the other weeks, the sermon is broadcasted live to each campus from where our Senior Pastor is preaching.  At all campuses, there is a worship team who leads the congregation in worship.

Do you provide childcare?

Yes! We have a nursery for children ages 0-3.  When you arrive, you will receive two stickers with a QR code to ensure you are the only person who can take your child out of the nursery.  Additionally, all of our nursery volunteers must pass a background check to increase the safety of your child.

What are your services like?

When you first arrive, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly greeters at the entrance.  Once inside, you’ll see our welcome center where you can grab information about our church and get any questions you have answered.  If you have children, you can check them in at our child check-in stations for them to enter Greenhouse (Edgewood’s children ministry).  As you make your way back to the main service area we’ll have coffee and snacks available for you to grab and take into the service if you’d like.

The worship service will begin with a mix of energetic and heartfelt worship (led by a live worship band), prayer, and scripture readings.  Then you’ll hear a scripture-based, gospel-centered message from one of our pastors that will encourage and inspire you in your walk with the Lord.

The length of the service is typically between 60-70 minutes.   At the end of the service, our campus pastor and one of our elders are available to talk with and pray for you.

What should I wear?

We encourage people to come as they are, wear what feels most comfortable and expect to feel welcomed!
