What is a multi-site church?
Multi-site churches are a relatively new and ever-changing, organic model for today’s church that works to maximize resources and reach more people and communities more rapidly than traditional church planting.
Preaching
Some multi-site churches have a centralized location where all in-person preaching takes place with satellite churches (campuses) utilizing video broadcast technology to present the sermon at their given location. In this case, all campuses are hearing the exact same message together. Other multi-site churches have campus pastors who preach in-person at each location on the same passage or topic which creates unity across all campuses, but each campus is hearing a slightly different message.
Worship
Most multi-site churches have in-person worship teams who lead the congregation in worship through music, scripture readings, and prayer.
Our Approach
Edgewood combines these approaches. Our Senior Pastor (Roger) rotates between campuses, preaching in-person at each campus approximately once per month. Each location also has a Campus Pastor who preaches in-person at their campus approximately once per month. For the other weeks, the sermon is broadcasted to each campus from where our Senior Pastor is preaching. At all campuses, there is a worship team who leads the congregation in worship.
Do you provide childcare/children's ministry?
Yes! We have a nursery for children ages 0-4. Our children’s ministry called Greenhouse is available for grades 4k through 5th grade.
When you arrive, your child can be checked in for either nursery or Greenhouse, and you will receive two stickers, one for them and one for you. This will ensure that you are the only one who can pick your child up from the nursery or Greenhouse classroom. Additionally, our volunteers who work with children must pass a background check to increase the safety of your child.
We provide fun and engaging Bible lessons using the Gospel Project Curriculum. Our aim is to teach children about God’s plan to rescue His people through Jesus Christ and equip them to live a life centered on the Gospel. Children participate in interactive activities, games, and crafts that make learning about God’s Word fun and memorable. Our dedicated team of volunteers creates a safe and welcoming environment for children to grow in their faith and build friendships.
What are your services like?
When you first arrive, you’ll be welcomed by one of our friendly greeters at the entrance. Once inside, you’ll see our welcome center where you can grab information about our church and get any questions you have answered. If you have children, you can check them in at our child check-in stations for them to enter nursery or Greenhouse (Edgewood’s children’s ministry).
As you make your way back to the main service area we’ll have coffee available for you to grab and take into the service if you’d like. The worship service will begin with a mix of energetic and heartfelt worship (led by a live worship band), prayer, and scripture readings. Then you’ll hear a scripture-based, gospel-centered message from one of our pastors that will encourage and inspire you in your walk with the Lord.
The length of the service is typically between 60-70 minutes. At the end of the service, our campus pastor is available to talk with and pray for you.
What should I wear?
We encourage people to come as they are, wear what feels most comfortable and expect to feel welcomed!
